General Overview

Each client with the intention to have a large yacht built for him- or herself belongs to a very rare - and financially very interesting - species.
This leads to extreme efforts of all trade people, including, sometimes and unfortunately, mis-representation of their own abilities and capacities.
There is a huge amount of money involved whenever a purchase of a large yacht is concerned. Sometimes it seems to be forgotten that this is especially true for the Client, the Purchaser.

It is the policy and goal of OCEAN Independence, also with regard to new construction, that the Client shall profit from our professional, sober and commercial approach to all his/her questions, needs and hopes. The yacht might be his/her pleasure - but this pleasure is our obligation (and only therefore, eventually, our pleasure as well) In order to deliver a proper service, we strive to judge our abilities and capacities correctly.

OCEAN Independence will and can not design line plans of ocean-going yachts, nor are we contemporary exterior designers. We are not interior decorators either, nor do we draw engine room lay-outs or electric diagrams. We do not paint yachts nor wash crew uniforms ourselves. However, OCEAN Independence certainly can find and employ the most suitable specialists for all the above jobs, and that includes the numerous designers, engineers, architects and other specialists involved in the professional planning and execution of a building project. In addition to that we can bring our long-lasting experience into the project already at the planning stage.

We know the particular demands of a successful charter yacht as well as those of a very private long-range cruising yacht. And we are certainly very familiar with the many problems, small and large, that can occur during the daily operational life of any yacht, and which can be avoided or at least minimized by proper planning, by proper building supervision - by a sober, professional approach.

With regard to new construction we consider it to be our most important task to bring our Client together with the right parties for the intended purpose, and to than to tenaciously monitor the proper technical and financial performance of all these parties in the sole interest of the Client.
