Crewing

An experienced and well-motivated crew is paramount for every happy yacht. For a charter yacht, this can even be the most important element of success. Often crewing cost are the highest single item of annual operational expense of a yacht in a given year.

For both of the above reasons we spend a lot of time on the selection of (and later the communication with) the right crew for a yacht. Following our experience and our contacts as well as our big crew files, we can find the right people for the various demands. Obviously initial requirement profiles are discussed with the Owner - who, if so wishes, also decides on the final choice.

Even an excellent crew needs to be lead. By the Captain, foremost, but also by a manager, that is, so to speak, one step removed from the actual operation of the yacht. We have developed the necessary instruments for this task.
With the goal to make it easier for the crew to perform according to the wishes of the Owner, we supply precise job descriptions as well as a definition of the targets that we want to achieve with the crew.

According to the Owner's requirements and in correspondence with the law of the country of registration, we issue labor contracts, organize crew insurance, organize travel, etc. etc.
Naturally we also account for crew salaries, expenses, uniforms. medical support, safety training, schooling, etc.

Our management team handles:

• Assistance to the owner, should the master need to be replaced.

• Assistance to the master, should a crew member resign or be dismissed.

• Administration of crew contracts.

• Negotiation and payment of crew's salaries.

• Administration of crew vacation, travel and expenses.

• Forwarding of crew mail

• Crew medical reimbursement.
