From Palma de Mallorca via Guernsey and Iceland ASTERIA made her steady way to the top of the world, making the traditional Northwest passage crossing that only 180 or so vessels have ever made. Taking the Davis Strait between East coast Canada and Greenland to Pond Inlet, through the Northwest passage, across the Arctic ocean and rounding Alaska, all with the breathtaking sights of vast, rugged and unspoiled landscapes peppered with icebergs, glaciers and wildlife such as whales, polar bears, ring seals, walrus and fulmars.
This unique exploration yacht is now cruising Phuket and will then move to Northern Australia until August before then crossing through the Pacific Islands to Chile over the Autumn and on to Antarctica for winter 2012/13.
