Also in attendance was the Owner’s representative - and Managing Partner of Ocean Independence - Peter Hürzeler who reports that the launch of this “genuine little ship” was celebrated in style, with a traditional Chinese blessing ceremony and a bottle of champagne across the bow.
SMILING T offers great volume for a yacht of her size and her elegant teak interior is designed by Birgit Schnaase, The welcoming layout comprises a master suite on the main deck, and on the lower deck 2 cabins with either double or twin beds as well as a 3rd twin cabin that is easily converted from a twin cabin to a gym or vice versa. Other strong features of the yacht are the spacious Owner’s salon behind a proper bridge, and the large sundeck with Jacuzzi and bar, altogether creating an outstanding guest experience.
The expedition style Jade 91’ is known for excellent sea keeping qualities. SMILING T will cruise at 10 knots and has transatlantic range. She is fully equipped, including ABT zero speed stabilisers, and MCA compliant.
SMILING T is due for sea trials and delivery to her Owners in January 2012.
