Luxury Swiss magazine EXCELLENCE INTERNATIONAL article

06 December 2011 | OCEAN Independence goes from strength to strength. OCEAN Independence is proud of its Swiss roots, its international expansion and keeping its motto alive : "global vision. local insight".

The firm, first named Ocean Cruise, was founded 25 years ago in Zürich by Peter Hürzeler, although the OCEAN Independence of today came about in 2005 when London based managing partner Nicholas Dean came aboard. "I remember joining in 2003 as number 8 on the internal phone list", says Geneva office manager Bjorn Vang-Mathisen. "We are now close to 90 staff in 16 locations, including Rachel Bradley and myself here in Geneva, still under our active Zürich HQ."

OCEAN Independence has expanded rapidly since 2005 through the acquisition / merger of Velonà Yachting, Sea Independence, Cavendish White, Diverse Projects and lately Primo Yacht - each company adding to the group their international experience and local knowledge. No other large yachting company can boast just this diverse strength and depth.

"The easiest way to get to know us is by going to our website  www.oceanindependence.com, or to call us", says Peter Hürzeler, "we specialize in luxury yacht charters, charter management, yacht sales and technical management,  plus projects both for new builds and large refits".

The group represents by far the largest charter fleet in the world, with around 120 yachts. Always respectful of clients' wishes and other industry professionals, their brokers will undoubtedly find the right yacht for you, whether in house or using their worldwide network of trusted associates.
