The archipelago's capital, Victoria, is found on the island of Mahé. This is the largest of the Seychelles' 41 inner islands, the oldest mid-oceanic granite islands on earth. The 74 outer islands include Aldabra, the world's largest raised coral atoll, and the Farquhar islands, the Seychelles' most southerly outpost.
