CECIENNE

At OCI Palma Marc Haendle sold the 26.5m CECIENNE a brand new Canados 86, complete with full warranty from the shipyard. Construction was carefully overseen and supervised by OCEAN Management ensuring that the yacht was sold turnkey. CECIENNE sleeps 8-10 guests in 4 cabins.

Jeroen Minnema at OCI Antibes sold 23m Cape Horn Trawler LORD’S WARRIOR in May, only 9 months after signing her for sale. Built in 2002 she sleeps 7-8 guests in 4 cabins and is extremely economical to run as well as being a perfect ocean-going, family, explorer yacht.

Bjorn Vang-Mathisen at OCI Geneva brings us the 30m Benetti FAVORITA, built in 1975 and last refitted in 2010 this beautiful, classic Navetta has been lovingly restored. She is commercially registered for charter, sleeping 8 guests in 4 cabins, and will be cruising the Western Med this season under OCI charter management.

 

Then with OCI Palma’s Marc Haendle the sexy open Riva Ego PENDRAGON. Launched in 2007 this 21m gem sleeps 6 guests in 3 cabins and has low engine hours due to rare usage.

OCEAN Independence sells SKYLGE & ANTHEA

and presents 5 CAs for sale

Peter Thompson and Michael White at Ocean Independence (OCI) UK sold the 43m sailing yacht SKYLGE, now renamed THIS IS US and also the 28m AB Yachts ANTHEA, in Joint Central Agency.

SKYLGE was built in aluminium in 2005 by Holland Jachtbouw to an Andre Hoek design, has slim low-freeboard lines, long overhangs and a modest pilothouse. Her rig follows the trend for high-aspect mainsails and she has a clean deck, while her lifting keel offers access to shallower waters. Lloyds classed and MCA compliant, THIS IS US sleeps 8 guests in 4 cabins and has a range of 2,500 nautical miles at 11 knots and will remain for charter with OCI under her new owner.

Also sold by Peter Thompson and Michael White, the 28m AB Yachts ANTHEA. Launched in 2006 by one of the master builders of large, fast, open yachts, AB Yachts. Constructed of Kevlar, her triple Caterpillar 1825hp engines power her to a maximum speed of 53 knots and she can comfortably cruise at around 45 knots. Anthea accommodates 8/9 guests in 2 double cabins and 2 twin cabins and her bright, modern interior was designed by Guido de Groot.

At OCI UK Michael White and Peter Thompson bring us 2 stylish new CAs for sale, firstly the 40m CRN Ancona AQUALIBRIUM, built in 1995 in Italy and fully refurbished in 2004 she offers a large volume interior and generous deck spaces which have made her a popular charter yacht. AQUALIBRIUM has an excellent crew, who have maintained her to a high standard and sleeps 10 guests in 5 cabins. Also for charter with OCI.

And secondly the 27m Pershing 88 SPIRIT OF ZEN from 2002, currently based in Dubai she has a bright but warm interior of cherry wood and cream leather, 4 cabins sleeping 8 guests and Arneson surface drives. SPIRIT OF ZEN offers a winning combination of style, space and speed.

Moving to OCI Palma, Jim Acher has signed the 29m Benetti AYOUCHKA. First launched in 1975 and recently completed a 2.4m+ euro refit this steel yacht sleeps 10 guests in 5 cabins, has huge internal volume and is completely turnkey!

Then at OCI Monaco Phil Pollak presents the 22.5m 1988 Cantieri di Pisa HORIA, refitted in 2006 she is a very well maintained example of this popular design. Beautifully decorated and featuring a wonderful custom lounge area on the upper deck she sleeps 7 guests in 4 cabins and has low engine hours.

And finally, with Jeroen Minnema at OCI Antibes in Joint Central Agency, the modern classic 21.5m Holland Jachtbouw WINDROSE, returning to the market with a complete survey report and substantial price reduction. Built in 2001 she has a proven regatta record, sleeps 6 guests in 3 cabins and is in outstanding condition! Her 23m berth in Antibes Port Vabaun is also for sale by separate negotiation.

Shows

Looking forward to the September yacht shows OCI will be presenting at least 2 yachts at the Cannes Yacht Show 8-13th in Port Canto and also 5 or more yachts at the Monaco show 22nd-25th.

Already confirmed for Monaco are the 52m 2001 (refit 2009) Benetti QUANTUM OF SOLACE, the 38.5m 2009 Sanlorenzo Alloy 40 ONYX and the 42m 2002 Cantieri di Pisa ELEMENT!

A promising 1st quarter for Ocean Independence

Marco Vandoni at OCI Monaco sold magnificent central agency 69m Oceanfast NOMAD. Built in Australia in 2003 and originally named Aussie Rules, NOMAD was subsequently purchased by an American yachtsman who renamed her FLORIDAN and added a helipad on the upper aft deck. Then in 2007 Marco acted on behalf of the buyer who renamed her NOMAD. The new owner, a European Client was initially introduced to Marco, just as the final horns were being blasted to signal the end of the 2009 Monaco Yacht show.

New for sale

OCI Antibes’ Eric Trupheme has signed a new yacht ready for summer 2010, 42m Troy Marine IMBROS. Due for completion in June this innovative explorer super yacht is being built to be Bureau Veritas and MCA compliant with a range of 4000nm and will sleep 10 guests in 5 cabins.

Next with Bjorn Vang-Mathisen at OCI Geneva the 2010 rebuilt De Amstel, originally launched in 1987, 36m SUNNY HILL. This first class, beautiful rebuild of a quality Dutch motor sailer hit the water in May 2010, ready to sail away for the summer, she 10 guests in 5 cabins.

At OCI London Michael White and Peter Thompson offer the 2006 28.5m AB yachts ANTHEA from 2006. Dry stored ashore and asking well below replacement cost this yacht is very fast, very little used and very seriously for sale. Turn-key and ready for immediate summer use she sleeps 9 guests in 4 cabins.

Then with Rainer Wilhelm at OCI Vienna the 20m 2004 Maxi Dolphin CHARIS, fast, beautiful and family friendly this semi custom “Pocket-Super yacht” has buckets of Italian style. The latest concept in medium-light displacement yachts and fantastic performance under sail without compromising on internal space she sleeps 6 guests in 3 cabins.

And last but not least “A fine example of craftsmanship & finish” (BI 2002) the 20m Southern Ocean Marine LIARA, launched in 2002/03 and refitted in 2007 she is offered by Marc Haendle at OCI Palma. Sleeping 6 guests in 3 cabins she is well maintained and also fast, lightweight and very comfortable as well as being ARC winner in 2002.

New for sale

Costa Lourandakis at OCI Greece presents 2 new CAs for sale, first the traditionally crafted 46m motor sailor ARKTOS. Inspired by 19th century Galaxidi vessels this wooden construction by Basimakopouloi was launched in 2004 and is Greek commercial registered. A contemporary build with amenities & safety requirements of a modern Yacht she sleeps 10/11 guests in 5 cabins.

Secondly, in co-central with Bjorn Vang-Mathisen at OCI Geneva, the 32.9m Leight Notika, CARAMELLA. One of the successful "Centaurian" series she was launched in 2004, with beautiful modern styling and a clean and sleek exterior, augmented by the deep garage adapted to carry her 4m tender thus leaving her vast fly bridge deck to be enjoyed in full. Her welcoming interiors sleep 8 guests in 4 cabins.

Moving over to OCI Palma, Marc Haendle introduces the 35.5m Lübeck COURAGE, featuring Egg & Dart interior design and accommodating 8 guests in 4 cabins. Compliant with North European, Germanischer Lloyd and MCA standards, this high volume, full displacement yacht with trans-ocean range is already under construction and will be available within 8 months from purchase.

Also at OCI Palma Jim Acher brings us the 32m Tempest Marine TRILOGY, built in 1990 and extensively refitted in 2005 this high volume, American flagged yacht has all the extras one would expect. Currently based in Naples she sleeps 8 guests in 4 cabins.

Also at OCI Antibes’ and in co-central Jeroen Minnema sells 24m San Lorenzo 82 ALPHA PAPA, built in 2005 she has a pristine maintenance record and has only been privately used, sleeps 8 guests in 4 cabins

At OCI Monaco, Marco Vandoni presents the meticulously designed 46m new build from prestigious Italian yard Baglietto. With a delivery time of 20 months this comfortable and sophisticated steel and aluminium creation will accommodate 10 guests in 5 cabins

Moving to OCI Zurich 4 unmissable new offerings! Toby Maclaurin has signed the exquisite and unique 41m classic William Fife & Sons schooner ALTAIR, one of William Fife’s last large yachts she was launched in 1931. Her restoration in 1987 set the standard by which others are judged, especially in regard to retaining original features and fittings. ALTAIR returned to Fairlie Restorations in 2007 and continues to be the yacht to beat on the classic racing circuit.

Also with Toby Maclaurin in Zürich and Peter Thompson at OCI UK, the 35.5m Horizon from 2002, WHEELS. Ocean Independence rounds off 2009 in style!

Peter Thompson, assisted by Mike White at OCI UK sealed the deal for a new build 57.5m BENETTI, hull FB257, to be built at Benetti’s state-of-the-art shipyard in Livorno. The delivery of this full displacement steel-hulled yacht is anticipated for delivery in just under three years and will have 6 spacious cabins for 12 guests.
