Finalist - World Superyacht Awards 2010

Beautiful vessel with huge deck spaces and a luxurious interior designed to feel elegant, yet homely.

Katya is a 151-foot full-displacement motor yacht built to travel the world’s oceans. She is the fifth yacht built out of Delta’s proven full-displacement design and is both Lloyd’s and MCA classed. Styled by the in-house Delta Design Group (who are also responsible for the entire engineering package), her striking exterior is dominated by a long, raised sheer line with a gentle, graceful slope. From every vantage point, Katya is sure to enchant all who make her acquaintance. A centerline walkway splits the forward portion of the superstructure and large hull-side windows echo the sweep of the sheer line while lengthening her stance. She is a sleek and graceful presence on the water.

Katya’s owner wanted to create an interior that is elegant yet comfortable - spaces suitable for your family and home. Working in collaboration with their designer, Jean-Claude Canestrelli and the Delta Design Group, they chose dark figured khaya veneers, amboina and maple burls, and crotch mahogany as the feature woods. The main salon is draped with breathtaking views through large windows and curved glass entry doors flanked with a mirrored set of handsome bar cabinets. Guest and service traffic will flow easily forward past the glass encased art displays into the dining salon where a custom mahogany dining table is anchored with a bow-front hutch. Matching buffets both port and starboard are finished in crotch mahogany with stone tops.

Katya can comfortably accommodate up to 12 guests in 5 staterooms. The full-width master, located forward on the main deck, again features large hull-side windows perfect for taking in the morning sunshine or enjoying a moonlight starry sky. Below deck are four ample size guest cabins, including the “Katya” cabin designed to accommodate up to 4 children, with a double bed, single bed and additional pullman. Like the main living spaces, the guest areas feature warm tones, satin finishes, painted overheads and soft upholstered wall panels.

Her decks, with ample walk-arounds, provide a variety of areas for entertaining and dining. In addition to the aft dining area on the main deck, the upper deck is also configured with a generous outdoor dining area for ten. Inside is an open, casual skylounge with bar, game table and great views of the outdoors. This space is perfect for dining for two, or a cocktail party for more.

If it is the sun you are after then just continue up one more level and meet the sun deck. A wonderful area equipped with a bar, jacuzzi, lots of lounge chairs, a day head and stowaway workout equipment – giving guests little reason to leave.
