| Safety equipment | Fire fighting gear: Sprinkler fixed system The system will use sprayed hi-pressure (80 bar) water to fight fires in the garage, E.R., public spaces and accommodation. The system, ULTRA FOG AB (or equal), will conform to SOLAS 2001, IMO A800 (19) Rules as far as the accommodation and public spaces are concerned, to IMO MSC 688/728 Rules as far the E.R. is concerned and, as a general rule, to IMO 913 resolution. The installation will be fitted inside an A60 class protected enclosure and, as a general rule, will consist of: •1 off 2-3x68 lt/each water bottles pressurized by one group of 3x50 lt/each 200 bar nitrogen bottles; •2 off hi-pressure. (120 bar) 380 V 50 Hz pumps; •1 off 20 ÷ 25 bar feeder pump; •shut-off valves (powered and manually operated), control panels as needed; •nozzles (automatic bulb type for intervention @ 57°C for the accommodation, foam type for the E.R.) as needed, per Rules; •1 off foam dosing unit. The operation will be automatic in the accommodation and remotely hand operated for the E.R. Portable fire fighting gear The Rule fire fighting gear will, as a general rule, consist of the GIANNESCHI fixed and portable pumps described under O.10.3) as well as of the following to be supplied and duly fitted: •for each fire hydrant as described under O.10.2.2): one UNI 45 hose, complete; •1 off CO2 5 kg fire extinguisher for the garage; •2 off CO2 5 kg fire extinguishers for the Engine Room; •1 off CO2 5 kg fire extinguisher for the ER control room; •1 off CO2 5 kg fire extinguisher for the galley; •1 off 1 kg powder fire extinguisher for each cabin; •1 off 1 kg foam fire extinguisher for the cabin deck passageway; •2 off 1 kg foam fire extinguishers for the saloons; •1 off 1 kg powder and 1 off 1 kg CO2 fire extinguishers for the wheelhouse; •Firemen axes, fire resistant blanket, breather, steel cable, W.T. portable lamps, etc., strictly as per Rules. | Mechanical Equipment | Bow thruster: n° 1 NAIAD MARINE VT100 (or equal) Stabilizers: Two NAIAD MARINE (or equal) 0-speed type stabilizers will be fitted on each side Air-conditioning: The Builder will supply and fit an air-conditioning CONDARIA (or equal) centralized system. The air conditioning system will serve all the cabins and the inside public areas, wheelhouse and fitness room included; the bathrooms and the galley will be equipped with forced air extraction system, with balancing air from the central system; the galley and the laundry will have intermediate comfort conditions. |

| Deck Equipment | Gangways One mediterranean gangway will be fitted on the STBD or Port side aft; the gangway to be MOTOMAR (or equal) telescopic two sections type. The characteristics of the gangway will be the following: •Painted AISI 316 structure with teak gratings; •AISI 316 polished stainless steel automatic stanchions with steel cable on both sides; •Watertight lights to lighten the passage by night; •Wiring for bell and house-phone; •Watertight low voltage press-button control on the bulwark aft and radio remote control. One MOTOMAR or equal boarding ladder will be supplied and fitted in a dedicated recess at about ½L on the STBD bulwark; the ladder will be powered by one dedicated 380 V a.c. hydraulic power pack. In a symmetric position, on the Port bulwark a simple porthole will be fitted. For the operations with vessel moored with one side to the pier two 4 steps each MarQuipt (or equal) Docksteps type aluminium and teak collapsible portable stairs will be provided. On the aft platform two hydraulically operated stainless steel and teak bathing stairs will be provided, powered by the same power pack operating the garage door. Lifts One hydraulically operated round shaped lift make BERTAZZONI (or equal) will be supplied and fitted inside a dedicated structural trunk between the cabin deck and the sun-deck. One dumb waiter will be fitted linking the three pantries (weather deck, wheelhouse deck and sun-deck). |

| Tenders & Toys | The Builder will supply the tender and service boat within the limits of the budget outlined in G.10). As a general rule, the following will be supplied and fitted on board: •N° 1 LOA 6.5 m max + N° 1 LOA 5.2 m max tenders (make to be agreed, anyhow “lo-profile type”) complete with standard accessories; •N° 2 BOMBARDIER 2 places wet-bikes (or equal, eventually out of the garage); •N° 1 alluminium SOLAS approved type rescue boat NDM or equal, with long stock SOLAS approved outboard 10 BHP petrol engine. The two tenders and possibly the two wet-bikes will be lodged in the aft garage whereas the rescue boat will be placed on the forecastle. The aft garage will have, on the stern platform, an aluminium WT door hinged on the upper side with “swan neck” type un-visible stainless steel hinges; the door will be hydraulically operated by means of a power pack also feeding the tenders/wet-bikes handling system. |
