Joining Ocean Independence in 2025, Clark represents the next generation of a family deeply rooted in Fort Lauderdale’s yachting heritage.
His great-grandfather, Bob Cox, founded Lauderdale Marina in 1948 and is recognised as one of the first yacht brokers in Florida. Growing up in this environment, Clark was immersed in the marine industry from an early age, spending time around boats, clients, and the business of brokerage.
Clark and his family own and operate Lauderdale Marina, a renowned Boston Whaler dealership and full-service marina that has remained family-run for more than 75 years. This experience has given him valuable insight into dealership management, client relations, and marina operations.
Before joining Ocean Independence, Clark honed his skills as a broker with Kitson Yachts, developing a strong foundation in yacht sales and client service. His background provides him with a unique perspective that blends hands-on industry experience with a deep appreciation for the history and evolution of yachting in South Florida.
