Held from 25 - 29 October 2023, the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show (FLIBS) is on the horizon, and with it comes the opportunity to step aboard and explore a brand-new Horizon, WIGGLE ROOM. A 30.5m (100’) FD100 tri-deck from Horizon Yachts, she stands ready to deliver first-class luxury for a new Owner.
From the one-off glass transom doors and the artfully designed BCB Décor of Naples interior to the convivial living spaces including a skylounge and main deck master stateroom, every element of WIGGLE ROOM speaks to a synthesis of style and function, and an Owner with class.
Stepping on board via the expansive Hi-Lo beach club platform, you will immediately notice the unique glass transom doors - a first in the FD series. This innovative design not only allows for more natural light inside but creates a seamless transition between the yacht, and the sea. Featuring a fully equipped wet bar, sound system, and large seating area at the water level, this space invites guests to enjoy an exclusive and immersive beach club experience.
Moving forward up elegant staircases either side of the transom to the main aft deck, you are greeted with a spacious socialising and lounging area, perfectly situated near a well-stocked bar, setting a relaxed yet vibrant atmosphere for both day and night.
The salon is everything you want from a modern superyacht interior. Light filled and a flowing design are tied together with floor-to-ceiling windows and deliberately lowered bulwarks to offer unobstructed views from any angle.
Whether enjoying a quiet morning coffee or an afternoon cruise along the coast, the connection to the sea remains uninterrupted, offering guests a vibrant, ever-changing backdrop.
Moving forward, the formal dining area awaits, boasting elegance and functionality in equal measure.
Adjacent is a large open-plan galley, a true entertainer's dream. Whether you are hosting guests, or your private chef is preparing a gourmet feast, this space is equipped for every culinary need.
But for those moments when privacy or specialized service becomes paramount, the galley can be seamlessly partitioned off, ensuring the crew can operate without intrusion and maintain the highest standards of onboard service.
The full-beam Owner’s suite is a study in thoughtful design. Natural light floods the room, highlighting the exquisite wood and leather panelling incorporated into the design by BCB Décor of Naples, FL. While accent lighting showcases the bespoke finishes, only adding depth to the space.
The suite is outfitted with all the modern comforts too, including a TV and large vanity table. Whilst ample storage accommodates both short-term guests and those on extended stays.
The en suite is notable for its size and premium marble finishes that adorn his and hers bathrooms, blending luxury with function in a space that promises both relaxation and rejuvenation.
On the lower deck, guests are treated to four en suite staterooms, each offering an ambiance of luxury and comfort.
Two large double rooms and a sizable twin room provide a sophisticated and tranquil retreat with all the modern comforts to hand. Whilst slick sliding pocket doors in each room are a smart integration that champions both space-saving and characterful yacht design.
Further forward the VIP stateroom beckons with large windows allowing a flood of natural light. An accompanying expansive, marble-finished ensuite bathroom elevates the experience, promising mornings awash in gentle sunlight with views that stretch endlessly over the water.
The skylounge on the upper deck is the main helm position. Its unique feature is the FD100’s forward-sloping screens that not only reduce sun glare on the instruments but also prevent the room from being heated like a greenhouse, ensuring a happy Captain, and a comfortable and usable space for everyone on board.
Just behind the helm position, a comfortable seating area equipped with a pop-up TV is perfect for cosy movie nights or discussing the day’s itinerary with your Captain. And to add to the convenience, a day head is also available on this level, eliminating the need for trips to the lower levels. This functional yet elegant space promises relaxation and easy navigation for both the guests and the crew alike.
The upper deck aft is an area designed for the connoisseurs of the fine life while remaining unpretentious.
The space features a central Jacuzzi flanked by a well-appointed bar area. Adjacent, find a barbeque setup and comfortable seating, offering a versatile space for both relaxation and entertainment.
An extended hardtop — a series debut — provides shelter, making this outdoor deck space usable come rain or shine. A set of stairs leads you up to a sun deck that, while not a flybridge, offers a sprawling area akin to one, complete with an outdoor helm position, large sunpad, and another bar, ensuring that service is never too far away.
A short walk along the side decks forward of the Skylounge, we find a space crafted for more intimate gatherings or sunbathing in utter luxury.
The foredeck houses a beautiful U-shaped seating area, perfect for a quiet cocktail while pulling into port. And a generous sunpad invites you to bask under the sun in a space that promises tranquillity and unparalleled views.
