20 Jan 2020
Ocean Independence is delighted to announce the successful launch of 68m SOARING, the latest build from renowned shipyard Abeking & Rasmussen. Following three years in construction, SOARING was launched on Saturday 18 January. Project managed on behalf of the owner by Superyacht Technical Services, this custom-made superyacht will now prepare for her harbour and sea trials. SOARING is available for charter and under management exclusively through Ocean Independence.
Featuring contemporary styling with a sporty contour, SOARING boasts an expansive 11.6m beam giving superb interior volume combined with extensive attention to detail. The excellent team at Focus Yacht Design have ensured all design elements work in perfect synergy, offering a harmonious transition from exterior to interior. Her elegant, light and modern interior is accentuated by beautiful artwork while spacious accommodation provides luxurious comfort for twelve guests in six staterooms. The master suite, located on the upper aft deck, opens onto a private owner's lounging area with an exclusive library forward delivering sensational views. All further guest staterooms are situated on the main deck.
Thanks to an abundance of generous socialising and relaxation areas, guests on board have countless opportunities for outdoor entertainment. SOARING's lower deck is fitted with a professional gym, spa with steam room and features an exceptional beach club with swim platform for sunbathing plus easy access to the water toys and tenders.
Thomas Mühe from Focus Yacht Design comments on this exceptional opportunity, "Not only were we able to develop the design with a holistic approach by designing both exterior and interior at the same time," he states, "after winning the design pitch, the Owner let us keep the original concept relatively unchanged. With his personal input the design came truly into maturity and, for me, the whole process was a valuable and life-enriching experience."
SOARING's current cruising plan is to spend late spring in Northern Europe and then relocate to the Mediterranean for the summer. There is no doubt this stunning yacht will be an exciting new addition to the charter market.
