Ocean Independence Open New Hamburg Office

Ocean Independence is pleased to announce the opening of a new office in Hamburg, Germany, further strengthening the company’s presence in the D-A-CH region.

The office location at Poststraße 36 is both central and prestigious, with the luxury Hanseviertel shopping centre and the Binnenalster lake in the immediate vicinity, as well as numerous banks and shipping companies. The office complements Ocean Independence’s original German location in Düsseldorf and, together with the head office in Switzerland, provides a close-knit network to better serve the company’s German-speaking client base across all yachting services. 

Peter Hürzeler, Managing Partner of Ocean Independence, comments, "The German-speaking market, including Austria and Switzerland, has been one of the most important for the company since its foundation. So, it is a logical step to strengthen our presence here. Hamburg, with its proximity to world-leading shipyards and specialised yachting companies, as well as its unique maritime aura, is an excellent place to intensively cultivate relationships with our northern German customers and partners."

The Hamburg office will initially focus on yacht sales and management activity, with yacht manager and ex-Captain Mirko Derezynski on location. Ocean Independence yacht sales broker Lukas Stratmann is also shifting his focus to Germany – previously based out of our Palma office, the experienced broker will now advise and support clients primarily from Düsseldorf and Hamburg.
