Ocean Independence Presents Project Adur
09 Oct 2018
Ocean Independence is pleased to announce that we will be managing the build of innovative 45m Hakvoort Project ADUR after introducing the buyer, who will be heavily involved in the design process.
Hakvoort’s design concepts for Project ADUR have been implemented by Dutch design house Omega Architects, where Frank Laupman and his team have created a sporty exterior design concept with clean lines and a masculine profile. Below the water, Van Oossanen have optimized the hull and placed a Hull Vane patented ‘spoiler’ in the stern to improve seaworthiness and optimize fuel consumption. For the first time, the Hull Vane will be made of composite material, specifically for Project ADUR.
With an impressive speed of 26.5 knots, ADUR will be faster than most yachts of her size. At a steady cruising speed of 12 knots, she has transatlantic capability with a range of 4000+ nautical miles.
On board, her distinctive interior features floor to ceiling wrap-around windows to create panorama views from main deck saloon and sky lounge. Spacious accommodation will include an Owner’s suite complete with private office and extendable balcony located on the main deck, together with 3 guest staterooms on the lower deck. A gym will offer guests the opportunity to work out whilst a submarine is available to explore the underwater world.
