Dutch by birth but brought up in the UK, Helene first started sailing at a young age, exploring the Greek Islands during summers with her family.
Joining a yacht racing crew in the UK solidified her love for the sport and she went on to work with sailing yachts, first in Greece and then in the Caribbean. After nearly a decade abroad managing smaller sailing yachts with a focus on delivering first class customer service, Helene returned to the UK and joined the superyacht industry. She has been a highly successful charter manager since, amassing over ten years of experience managing some of the world’s most prestigious charter vessels and forging strong relationships with yacht owners worldwide. After a brief break from her career to look after her two young sons, Helene joined Ocean Independence with an established network of contacts within the industry. She speaks English, Dutch and French and retains her passion for sailing and travel.
