After moving from the UK to Germany as a child, Philip completed his apprenticeship as a Merchant for Wholesale and Foreign Trade.
In practice, this meant gaining hands-on experience within a corporate office environment, primarily working in Business Analytics, where he developed a strong understanding of data, processes and commercial operations.
Following his apprenticeship, Philip explored a range of office-based roles while searching for the right long-term opportunity. He was drawn to Ocean Independence by the uniqueness of the business. The combination of international reach and niche expertise immediately sparked his interest.
Outside of work, Philip plays football in his local Sunday league, enjoying the competitive and team-focused nature of the sport.
