Growing up in Durban, South Africa, Tim has long had a passion for the sea and boats. From an early age he was racing dinghies and started sailing offshore at the age of 16.
He later worked as a Yacht Captain for 11 years, alongside his wife, on board private and charter vessels. This was primarily in the Caribbean and western Mediterranean, but he also undertook a Pacific crossing as well as spending time cruising in northern Europe. Tim has managed the refit of a 38m Cammenga ketch as well as working as project supervisor on three new build sailing yachts at the Nautor’s Swan and Camper & Nicholsons shipyards. For the past 24 years Tim has been a yacht broker.
Outside of work, Tim enjoys Etchells keelboat racing, hiking, snorkelling, and skiing.
