Day to day itinerary

DAY
Panama City
Embark in Flamenco Marina, Panama City and settle on board. Enjoy a visit to the Gatun Lake and explore Fort San Lorenzo. Another interesting site here is the Panama Canal Expansion Observation Centre. Returning to Panama City, it is fascinating watching the ships navigating the locks and the Canal Museum nearby is an interesting drop-in. Perhaps take an evening walking tour through the lovely Casco Viejo (old Panama City) and spend the first night in port.

DAY
Panama City to Pearl Islands
Leave early morning and cruise to the Pearl Islands. Enjoy swimming and snorkelling in the clear, warm waters. Later sail to Punta Patino, the largest nature reserve in Central America. This is where you may spot Panama's national bird, the Harpy Eagle. Owned by ANCON, a private conservation group, the wildlife here is astounding.

DAY
Mogue Embera Reserve
The yacht can arrange an excursion to the Mogue Embera Reserve, where you will paddle upstream in dugout canoes to reach Mogue village, passing through the mesmerising mangroves ecosystem. One of the seven indigenous groups living in Panama, the Embera Indians, call this home. Very friendly and welcoming, they are known for their time-honoured traditions and beautiful handicrafts.

Restingue Island
Cruise to Caleta Caiman, Restingue Island for a morning of fabulous snorkelling and swimming in total paradise. For lunch head to the nearby tropical beauty of Cebaco Island for a beach BBQ. Take time to enjoy the lovely sandy beach and warm seas. Sail to Golfo Dulce for overnight anchorage.

Casa Orquideas
Sail through Golfito (clear immigration) and continue to nearby Casa Orquideas Private Reserve. This beautiful flower sanctuary is wonderful to wander around and view the extensive grounds. Head across the bay to Puerto Jiminez for an evening of relaxation.

DAY
Puerto Jimenez
Take a leisurely early morning cruise to Puerto Jimenez and anchor off the Oso Peninsula. This park is one of the biological corridors that leads to the amazing Corcovado National Park. Walk through the forests and enjoy up-close interaction with native wildlife. Relax on board and use the watersports equipment for some leisure time later in the day. Spend overnight at anchor near Quepos.

Quepos
Head ashore in Quepos where you can visit the ruggedly beautiful Manuel Antonio Reserve. Renowned for vast biodiversity of flora and fauna, there are meandering hiking trails from coast to mountain and some fabulous white sand beaches that are a huge draw. Should you feel adventurous, take the forest canopy or Savegre River excursion for a thrilling activity.

Playa Bisanz to Puerto Caldera
Enjoy a relaxed last morning at Playa Bisanz for some swimming, snorkelling and watersports fun. Sail to Puerto Caldera for disembarking.
