9 days Eden Island to Fregate Island, Seychelles

Offering a unique experience of untapped tropical scenery, flavours and scents, the perfect weather and relaxed atmosphere of the Seychelles provides an idyllic charter getaway.

The Seychelles are simply spectacular, with palms arching gracefully above clear lagoons, coral reefs ready for snorkelers and divers, tropical scenery and mild weather with endless sunshine. Each of the isles could be labelled “the classic desert island,” and you will feel like Robinson Crusoe when you see them.

Few of the 100 islets are inhabited, however, all are blessed with stunning sandy bays and verdant landscapes. Unless you crave a longer cruise, your charter won’t have to leave the North or South Male Atolls to show you the countless delights of the Seychelles. Besides, short cruising distances leave more time to savour the pristine beaches, the warm water and the flawless climate. From December to May, high cruising season, the weather is mild and dry.

The Seychelles can be whatever you want them to be, from beachcombing a deserted shoreline, to snorkelling a spectacular reef, to enjoying exceptional restaurant cuisine - and so much more.

Day Two beau vallon beach

Palm tree on a beach

Take a leisurely one hour cruise to Beau Vallon Beach, a favourite spot for local families thanks to the shallow, clear waters, ideal for snorkelling. The scenery is breath-taking, with pristine sands and swaying palms set against a rich backdrop of lush mountains. Visitors can enjoy a good selection of excellent restaurants and shops next to the beach, as well as a weekly night market just a 20 minute drive from the main town of Victoria.

Day Three cap ternay marine park

Rocky beach

Another short cruise takes the yacht around to Cap Ternay Marine Park to anchor in a secluded spot off a picturesque beach where a freshwater stream runs to the sea. This protected marine park is achingly beautiful, with warm, clear water offering a myriad of diving and snorkelling opportunities in the reefs on either side of the bay. Look out for eagle rays as you explore the vibrant marine life below the surface. Relax on the idyllic beach with panoramic views over to Morne Seychellois peak, the island’s tallest mountain.

Day Four petite anse

Rocky beach

At Petit Anse, the award winning Four Seasons Hotel and Beach is nestled in the beautiful bay, surrounded by stunning scenery. Discover a host of excellent restaurants plus spa treatments that can be enjoyed either in resort or brought on board to maximise tranquil relaxation. On the beach the ribbons of soft sand flanked by weather-worn boulders provide a naturally beautiful setting. This tropical paradise is renowned for a truly relaxed atmosphere, so take the opportunity to unwind in paradise by swimming and snorkelling at leisure.

Day Five anse lazio

Stunning blue ocean

After cruising for approximately three hours in the early morning, you will arrive at Anse Lazio, on the northwest of Praslin Island, just in time to enjoy a leisurely breakfast on the sun deck. Possibly one of the best kept secrets in the Seychelles, soak up the sensational views as azure waves lap the powder white shores. Here is a great place to plan an action packed day using all the water sports and snorkel amongst the coral whilst looking out for turtles.

Day Six curieuse island

Jungle beach

Take a short hop over to Curieuse island, where there are stunning anchorages. This small granite island is noted for its bare red earth strewn with the unique coco de mer palms, one of the Seychelles cultural icons and only found on two neighbouring islands. This is the natural habitat of the highly entertaining, wild, giant tortoises who will come to greet you and enjoy being hand fed. Walk from one side of the island to the other, through mangroves teeming with wildlife and discover tiny deserted coves dotted around the coastline.

Day Seven la digue island

Beach

La Digue is blessed with stunning natural beauty where granite rocks, turquoise water, tranquil bays and vibrant coral reefs make up this yachting haven. There are local guides if you wish to organise hiking and rock-climbing tours or sign up for surfing lessons, as it is an idyllic spot to learn. Climb to the top of the island for panoramic views whilst learning about the amazing indigenous flora and fauna.

Day Eight Felicite Island

Palm tree above the sea and rocks

The amazing resort island of Felicité is a wonderful location for another action packed day of watersports. This lush, granite isle is just a short tender ride from one of the best snorkelling spots in the world where the abundant marine life is fascinating. The luxurious Six Senses private island resort is an idyllic ecological sanctuary, where relaxation is key. From exquisite dining to spa treatments, this is a great spot to indulge in perfect relaxation on powder-white sands.

Day Nine fregate island

Cruise for three hours overnight to spend the last day experiencing the charm of Anse Victorin on the private island resort of Fregate Island. Although small, this beach is simply perfect and no wonder it has been awarded the title of most beautiful beach in the world multiple times. From here surfing with onboard instructors, a last dive or even catching that last tuna is the goal. Take a leisurely four hour cruise back to the main island of Mahé, which can be timed for departure, or enjoy a day back in Saint Anne Marine nature park before heading home.
