BOLERO is a Frers-designed classic with a storied past and genuine sailing spirit.

BOLERO is a 33m classic sailing yacht for charter, built by Far Ocean Marine in 1991 to a German Frers design. She accommodates eight guests across four staterooms with a crew of five, and cruises the Mediterranean in summer and the Caribbean in winter.

BOLERO carries a distinctive history, having once been owned by members of the British band Duran Duran during the height of their fame, a detail that sets her apart among classic sailing yachts on the charter market. Conceived by German Frers for both competitive sailing and long-distance cruising, she combines an aluminium hull with a timber superstructure, and has been kept in comfortable, sailable condition through a series of refits, most recently completed in 2026.

Life aboard suits guests who want to be involved: the crew includes committed sailing enthusiasts, and days can be shaped around anything from a relaxed cruise to genuine hands-on sailing. A varied water toy inventory, including two sea scooters, adult waterskis, a wakeboard, two paddle boards, and deep-sea and spinning rods, gives guests plenty to do at anchor, while a four-metre tender seating up to six guests handles transfers with ease. An onboard gym adds a further practical touch for guests keeping up a fitness routine at sea.

BOLERO's charter calendar divides between two regions each year: Mediterranean itineraries currently cover France and Italy, while winter charters move to the Caribbean, taking in the Virgin Islands, the Leeward Islands, and the Windward Islands.
