Pursuit Olivia Palermo’s Top Five Must-Haves

Entrepreneur, designer, model and editor, Olivia Palermo’s many roles have seen her become a mainstay on the fashion front row. She shares the Top 5 brands that style savants shouldn’t be without.

1 ANYTHING VALENTINO

Valentino is synonymous with beauty, sensuality and ethereal femininity. Under the creative direction of Pierpaolo Piccioli, the maison has constantly evolved while staying true to its stylistic roots. Its pieces are youthful and elegant. Its spring/summer 2018 collection saw it show playful blush biker jackets and sequinned utilitarian parkas alongside flowing pieces in its signature red. “Pierpaolo’s designs make you feel like the best version of yourself.”

2 RIMOWA LUGGAGE

Since launching the first aluminium trunk in 1937, RIMOWA has been the luggage choice of the jetset, combining high-tech materials with an instantly recognisable grooved exterior. “RIMOWA’s technology and designs are the best out there; nothing else compares. It’s important to be both practical and stylish when travelling and for me, RIMOWA’s suitcases are the only way to travel.” For baggage that truly stands out on the carousel, you can’t go wrong with the colourful, polycarbonate Salsa Air.

3 MONCLER

Urban style meets alpine chic at Moncler, an Italian label known for down jackets and sleek sportswear that are as chic in the city as they are on the slopes. This year at Milan Fashion Week, the brand challenged eight fashion designers to reinvent their signature down jacket, creating unique new diffusion collections with the brands essence at their heart. “Moncler’s regular collaborations with a range of designers means that it is always able to stay on-brand but with a fresh approach each time.”

4 ROGER VIVIER SNEAKERS

Roger Vivier opened his first boutique in Paris in 1937, and famously created heels for Catherine Deneuve, Brigitte Bardot and Queen Elizabeth II. For the past 16 years, creative director Bruno Frisoni’s energy and vision has brought the brand to a new generation. While Frisoni announced his departure from Vivier earlier this year, his legacy will live on in new classics like the Sneaky Viv’ slip-on sneakers. “Bruno created a chic, modern sneaker with a little sparkle for a playful touch while staying true to Vivier’s heritage with the iconic buckle.”

5 MAX&CO. SUNGLASSES

Sophisticated, easy-going and fun, MAX&Co. is a contemporary Italian fashion brand that aims to transcend seasonal trends with dynamic, smart collections for women. As well as elegant womenswear, it creates rather special sunglasses in fashion-forward shapes, original colors and avant-garde materials. “MAX&Co.’s designs are consistently strong and add a bit of colour to any ensemble. Many different stories can be told through the brand’s sunglasses collection.” Try the Glitter Cat-Eye sunglasses for some striking glamour.
