With over a decade of experience in the yachting industry, John brings a combination of commercial understanding, operational knowledge and hands-on charter expertise to his role as Charter Manager at Ocean Independence.
Having studied Maritime Business and built his career across different areas of the maritime and superyacht sectors, John has developed a broad understanding of the industry, spanning yacht operations, management, brokerage, corporate administration and, ultimately, charter management.
Now based in Palma de Mallorca, John made a conscious decision to position himself at the heart of the Mediterranean yachting community. His location allows him to remain close to the yachts, crews and professionals he works with throughout the season, while strengthening Ocean Independence’s presence in Mallorca and supporting the company’s international and German-speaking network.
For John, successful charter management is about far more than filling a calendar. It is about understanding the yacht, its crew, its strengths and the experience it can offer, then positioning it correctly within an increasingly competitive charter market.
With more than 10 years of industry knowledge behind him, John works closely with Owners, captains, crews and the wider brokerage community to develop long-term charter strategies, maximise opportunities and ensure each yacht is represented with the attention and understanding it deserves.
His approach is personal, practical and relationship-led, supported by first-hand knowledge of the Mediterranean charter market and the operational realities behind delivering an exceptional charter experience.
