This pair of impressive superyachts is offered in tandem for charter, doubling the potential when it comes to that all-important toy selection. At 55 metres in length, AXIS, built in 2016, sleeps up to eight staff or crew – while GIGI, at 50 metres can sleep up to 12 guests across six staterooms. The benefits of travelling in a fleet are unrivalled – and unsurprisingly there is much on offer when it comes to spending time together on the water. Fans of fishing will be blown away by the Flats boat and the Viking Sportfish, whilst those eager to learn more about what lies beneath will be excited to hear that there is an opportunity to charter a three-man Triton submarine. With so much space from a support vessel, none of these toys clutter the decks, leaving guests to take full advantage of all the pristine outdoor deck space. Beautiful styling and timeless interiors across both boats ensure this experience surpasses expectations both inside and out.

This yacht concept from Oceanco has exploration at its very core. Named after a meteorite found in Argentina and inspired by space rocket design, it has been conceived to conquer some of the world’s most challenging environments, with its revolutionary technology and state-of-the-art amenities. With a distinctive plumb bow, this mammoth 105-metre superyacht boasts a diesel electric propulsion system making it capable of 16.5 knots. Beneath that tough exterior lies a warm, contemporary interior – dreamt up by London-based designer Gina Brennan – who has previously worked her magic on the much-hailed interiors of the Soho House group and other renowned private members’ clubs. One of the many highlights includes the master suite, which features a panoramic portal to take in the views, along with a lounge area and fireplace. Long voyages for families with children have been accounted for on board too, with mobile classrooms and labs, as well as accommodation for nannies and tutors. There’s also space for a three-person submarine and a helipad, ensuring guests can reach the most remote locations on the planet.

This handsome steel and aluminium ice-class concept from Hawk Yachts has been conceived with year-round charter in mind. At 48 metres in length and with space for up to 13 guests, this sturdy yacht will have a range of 6,000 nautical miles, making it perfect for adventure and long-range cruising in hot or cold climates. Like all Hawk Yachts, the 690 has been designed as a truly viable investment opportunity, with pared back build and maintenance costs and a flexible interior arrangement. Whether sailing through the twists and turns of the Amazon River or jumping on one of the boat’s custom tenders in Antarctica, this is a distinctive and nimble yacht, with a head for exploration and an adventurous spirit. Separate luxury and expedition entrances, roomy tender spaces and innovative indoor viewing areas make this Cape Hawk 690 a cut above for those looking for the ultimate in both form and function.

With a name translating to ‘New World’ in Indonesian, it’s perhaps unsurprising that Dunia Baru is a boat with adventure in its DNA. Built to the traditional ‘phinisi’ style in teak and ironwood, this distinctive 51 metre yacht sails to some of the most exciting destinations on the planet – from Komodo and Thailand to Palau and Myanmar. When guests aren’t hiking up volcanoes, diving coral reefs or tracking local wildlife, there’s plenty of space on board for up to 14 guests to relax and unwind. Settle into a beanbag on the foredeck and watch the world go by or grab a book from the library and lounge on a sofa in one of the airy, timber staterooms. Staying true to the theme of exploration and enrichment, Dunia Baru’s Owner is passionate about engaging with the local communities that the yacht visits. His latest project is a learning centre, currently under construction in Sauwandarek village, using traditional Papuan methods and local materials.

Originally built in Japan as an ice-class marine research vessel, today NORTHERN SUN has been completely transformed into an impressive superyacht with the strength and stamina for global exploration. This is a stately yacht that really can go anywhere, making her perfect for adventure. At 51 metres, there is plenty of room for up to 12 guests to come along and enjoy the ride – and for time out between adventure and adrenalin, there’s much on board to please and pamper. Take the yacht’s new, two-deck-high water slide, the inviting on-board Jacuzzi, or the games table and piano. The Asian-inspired interiors, meanwhile, including tropical woods and intricate hand-woven rugs, ensure the yacht is as warm as it is welcoming. For art aficionados, the on-board collection also holds real appeal, with nautical artwork depicting shipping through the ages, from clipper ships to passenger liners. And of course, with 12 dedicated crew – there’s no doubt that guests will be well looked after every step of the way.

NORTHERN SUN luxury explorer yacht

Here is a yacht with grand plans. Conceived by Norwegian Owner Kjell Inge Røkke and designed by superyacht supremo Espen Oeino, this is a peerless project with ground-breaking ocean research at its heart. At a colossal 182 metres in length, there will be room on board for the numerous scientists, technicians, equipment and laboratories that will be necessary for this yacht to fulfil her ambitious goals in marine science and sustainability. Crucially, there will also be bags of space for guests who can come along to enjoy the boat and support its ambitious projects in luxurious surroundings. Mingling areas will provide the perfect space for families to learn more about the work being carried out on board – including an auditorium, capable of holding up to 40 people – classrooms and observation areas, complete with floor-to-ceiling glass windows. The boat, when it is completed in 2020, will be capable of circumnavigating the globe without stopping to refuel – and just as well, as there are grand plans and great oceans to study.
